Cookie & Storage Policy

1. Public website

The website remembers your separate analytics and recording choices in local storage named cprompt-privacy-v1 for up to 180 days. Both services start by default on eligible public pages when the browser can remember your settings. Previously saved opt-outs take priority. Default settings are not recorded as an affirmative user choice. It also uses session storage named cprompt-inquiry-id for the enquiry form’s resume function. It holds a random enquiry identifier, not your contact details, and normally lasts for the browser tab session.

The FAQ assistant uses temporary page memory. It does not set a conversation cookie or store your chat in local storage.

2. Optional analytics and recordings

When traffic analytics is on, Google Analytics uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits. This website configures their expiry to 180 days. When recordings are on, Microsoft Clarity uses cookies such as _clck and _clsk to connect visits and page interactions. These are separate from the enquiry form identifier.

Turn both off stops both services. Uncheck either category and select Save choices to turn it off separately. Privacy choices in the footer lets you change your settings at any time. Turning a service off clears matching first-party tracker cookies and reloads the page. Browser controls can also clear cookies held by external services.

3. Staff content editor

Staff signing in at /cms use a security cookie named cpcms, scoped to /cms. It keeps the content editor authenticated for up to eight hours. It is HttpOnly, uses SameSite=Strict and is marked Secure on the HTTPS production site. It is not used to track public website visitors. The separate administration site and client applications may use other authentication storage.

4. Your controls

You can clear site storage in your browser. Clearing the enquiry identifier stops that browser tab from resuming the request; it does not delete records already sent to the business. Starting a new enquiry also clears the previous identifier.

The privacy panel shows traffic analytics and heatmaps/session recordings as separate choices, both on by default for a new visitor. Turning them off does not stop you from using the site or enquiry form. If browser storage is unavailable, neither service starts automatically because an opt-out could not be remembered. Any setting you enable then applies only to that page.

Following a link to WhatsApp, LinkedIn or another external site brings you to that service, where its cookie and privacy policies apply.
