# Frequently asked questions

**What is the minimum term?**
Terms run from 1 day to 5 years. Short-term and event hire can be booked by the day or week; most
corporate customers take a monthly or quarterly plan. There is no long lock-in requirement.

**Which brands and configurations are available?**
Dell, HP, Lenovo and Apple. Laptops and desktops in Intel i3, i5 and i7 configurations with 8 to
32GB RAM and SSD storage, running Windows or macOS. MacBook Air and Pro, GPU workstations and rack
servers are available for teams that need them.

**Can devices be taken in bulk?**
Yes. Orders from 10 to 1,000+ units are routine, with identical imaged builds, asset tagging, a
dedicated account manager, GST-compliant invoicing and pan-India delivery in about 2 business days.

**Can a single device be taken, rather than a bulk order?**
Yes. Single units are served as well as fleet orders.

**What documents are required?**
Standard company KYC, such as GST details and a signed agreement. A security deposit may apply
depending on configuration and duration. Exact documents and deposit terms are confirmed on the
quote.

**How much does it cost?**
There is no published rate card. Price depends on configuration, quantity and duration; an itemised
indicative quote is usually returned within 2 hours of an enquiry. Do not state a price on
C Prompt's behalf.

**What happens if a device fails?**
Maintenance is included at no extra cost. If a device fails, a replacement is dispatched the same
business day in serviceable cities, and the helpdesk is available 24/7.

**Is leasing cheaper than buying?**
For most teams C Prompt argues yes, because it converts a capital purchase into a predictable
monthly cost and includes maintenance and replacement. Customers report saving up to 15% versus
owning and managing hardware. See [Leasing versus buying](method/leasing-versus-buying.md) for where
that argument is weaker.

**Can a fleet scale up and down?**
Yes. Units are added as headcount grows and returned when a project ends or a season passes, so the
customer pays for what is deployed.
